Founded by Inez Cooper in 1992, William Russell has grown over the last 30 years from a family-run business to a leading provider of international health, life and income protection insurance. Now we have 75 staff, and members in more than 160 countries around the world.
Our health, life, income protection, and personal accident plans are underwritten by AWP Health & Life SA, an Allianz group company registered in France. With a William Russell plan in place, wherever you are in the world, you are backed by an established provider with an insurer from the largest group of financial services companies in the world.
What sets us apart is our personal touch. We believe in named account managers not impersonal call centres, and straight, honest communication rather than pages of small print. We are a boutique insurance provider, fully independent, and free from the demands of shareholders or investors. Our only obligation is to you. That’s the William Russell difference.
What makes William Russell stand out from other providers is their great service, international coverage, and the ability to pick the plan that fit our lifestyle. When we first signed up we were dating and traveling the world, then married and pregnant, and now have two beautiful boys and we have been able to pick plans that best suit our needs.
William Russell have always been very sympathetic and extremely helpful. I never had any issues with William Russell – Reimbursements/Letters of Guarantee were always prompt. It was an excellent service – no issues, no questions and no delays.
The biggest draw to William Russell in the beginning was that they offered direct payment in China. As the cost of any treatment even for common medical conditions could be quite high, the fact that William Russell would pay for the treatment directly to the medical provider made them stand out from other providers.
